Terms & Conditions/Cancellation Policy

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

Cooking Classes:
Your classes will take place in a working kitchen, and you will be standing for most of the duration of your class.  Therefore, for your safety and comfort, we strongly recommend that you wear flat-soled, closed toed, comfortable shoes and comfortable clothing to class.

Cheese & Wine store orders:
FOR DELIVERY:  We ship 2 day UPS to ensure that our cheese gets to you at the same height of freshness as it left us.  We pack our cheeses with icepacks to last 2 days maximum, so please be sure to put your cheese in the fridge when you receive it.

FOR PICKUP: We will cut your cheese to order and have it ready for you at the time indicated in your checkout.  Because we are cutting to order, all sales are final.

CANCELLATION POLICIES:

Evening and weekend cooking classes:
For evening and weekend classes, we will **refund class fees for your cancellation up to one week before the scheduled class.
Up to 48 hours before the class, we will issue a store credit for the class fees.
(Once a store credit is issued we will not be able to refund the original credit card payment.)
No refunds or credit can be given for cancellations less than 48 hours before class.

Please note special cancellation policy applicable to The Gourmet Series, Gourmet Weekend, and WSET Certification Course below.


The Gourmet Series, Gourmet Weekends cooking classes and WSET wine class:
For these classes involving more than 1 day of class, we will **refund class fees for your cancellation up to 2 weeks before the first scheduled day of class.
Up to one week before the first day of class, we will issue a store credit for the class fees.
(Once a store credit is issued we will not be able to refund the original credit card payment.)
No refunds or credit can be given for cancellations less than one week before the first day of class.


**REFUND POLICIES:

There will be a 5% service charge on all credit card refunds resulting from a class or cheese & wine store order that you cancel. There will be no service charge on store credits. The service charge will not apply if the class is cancelled by us.

Laguna Culinary Arts reserves the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment or substitute instructors if necessary. Upon cancellation we will contact you by phone or e-mail. You will have the choice of either transferring your payment to another class or receiving a refund or store credit.

If your desired cheese is not available we will contact you and offer you the choice of substituting a different cheese, or receiving a refund or store credit.
If you are using a Groupon for payment, our cancellation policy requires a minimum of 48 hours notice* of cancellation before the class for your Groupon to be reissued as a $45 cooking class credit. If you cancel within the allowed time and are using a Groupon for payment, we will reissue your Groupon code to be used at a later date. If other payment methods are used in combination with the Groupon, please see the corresponding cancellation policy. For any questions please call 949-494-0745.

ATTENTION GROUPON USERS:
Groupon promotion codes expired on Tuesday, June 14, 2011.  If you have not used your Groupon, the promotion value of $85 has been reduced to the amount you paid for the Groupon, and converted to a cooking class credit of $45.  There is no expiration date for the $45 cooking class credit, but it will continue to be valid only for cooking classes.  Please note that we will honor only two Groupons per customer, according to the terms of the Groupon promotion.
Our cancellation policy requires a minimum of 48 hours notice* of cancellation before the class for your Groupon to be reissued as a $45 cooking class credit. If you cancel within the allowed time and are using a Groupon for payment, we will reissue your Groupon code to be used at a later date. If other payment methods are used in combination with the Groupon, please see the corresponding cancellation policy.

* If you cancel after the June 14, 2011 expiration, our cancelation policy requires a minimum of 48 hours notice.  At this time the value of the Groupon will be converted to cooking classcredit of $45, the amount you paid for the Groupon.  For any questions please call 949-494-0745.
